It’s Sunday, so we found one of Calgary’s best intimate venues with a patio and we’re bringing some bands. Come hang with us at Local 510 on 17th ave. We’re going to be shaking off our Big Slam hangover with John David and The Northern Coast.

John David
After spending many years together, singer-songwriters Kenton Amstutz and Darren McDade find themself steering into unfamiliar territory with their latest project John David, an acoustic duo playing emotionally charged hard hitting tunes.
“It felt like the right time to change direction, open ourselves up and make ourselves a little more vulnerable. The tunes are good and we are having a great time playing them”

The Northern Coast
The Northern Coast is a folk rock/alt rock, vocal driven band, formed in the early spring of 2014, and started as the brain child of Arron Crook. A year later with the partnership of the fuzz laden guitar of Hunter Hansen, the sound became what it is today. The songs are inspired by personal tales of love, lust, and loss set to the backdrop of the harsh Canadian climate.

After releasing the “Revelry” EP in February 2017, they were invited to support Canadian heavyweights The Rural Alberta Advantage for two sold out shows in Vancouver and Calgary.
